From our local experience and national surveys we find there is a tendency for owners to overvalue their expectations, but generally local values have moved very little, even with home improvements. There are also a lot of local 'new builds' available to compete with that are being marketed through 'Help to Buy' schemes - but remember this is all relative across the market so be positive and be realistic.

It has been very difficult for those with holiday homes abroad to visit them and they are still paying overheads on empty properties.
