Kirkham To Receive £6.3m From Government’s Future High Streets Fund
The Historic market town of Kirkham is one of 9 areas in the North West that will benefit from a total of £102m worth of funding as a part of The Government’s Future High Street Fund.
The £6.3m grant will enable the repurposing and purchase of Kirkham's historic buildings on Poulton Street and Preston Street as well as a range of improvements to the public and outdoor spaces.
A new heritage and Eco Skill Centre, Arts Centre and Community Cinema, new Town Centre housing and redevelopment of empty shops.
These extra funds contributes to Kirkham's total of £10m to reshape and rejuvenate the town.
